Playing JPortal as a "persistent" player has its advantages / and drawbacks (which I would rather call → challenges!)
Remember:
You must allways accept Quests in order to fulfill them, repeatable quests must be repeatedly accepted!
Starting a new persistent player, you will have only 1 quest available.
1) Earn 10 bucks
This is the start to all other quests. An intro to JPortal. You play with the original Portal starter set against a very dumb opponent. This quest series ends with the Quest Three Times. The series opens:
AI Opponent: Eliasar
and opens two follow up series:
The ladder
Explore new lands
and the quest: Win Game with 20 life or more
This one is repeatable and will earn you each time a Portal booster.
A) The ladder
This series consists of 8 consecutive quests, where each quest will be a little bit more difficult than the last. During the series you will open:
AI Opponent: Skali
SkaliMaid
Soral
Nuntio
Malban
Moses
In the end you will be rewarded with you first Portal Second Age card, which will enable you to buy Portal Second Age boosters.
Finally the series also opens the Quest:
100 Rare cards!
B) Explore new Lands
This series consists of 3 consecutive quests, where each quest will be a little bit more difficult than the last.
In the end you will be rewarded with you first Portal Three Kingdom booster, which will enable you to buy Portal Three Kingdom boosters.
The series also opens the Quest:
100 Rare cards!
i) 100 Rare cards!
As the name suggests - once you have 100 rare cards, the prerequsits of the quests are fullfilled. You will be rewarded with you first Starter 1999 booster, which will enable you to buy Starter 1999 boosters.
With getting the first card of Starter 1999 you also open a new quest series:
ii) Tutor quest series!
The series is led by a tutor, which shows you the new type of cards that will be available in the Starter 2000 set.
First: Artifact Knowledge
(Opens AI "Tutor" (first enhanced AI avalailable for persistent players)
Second: Enchantment Knowledge
Third: Putting it all together
Which will reward you with the first Starter 2000 booster, and also opens the AI "Fynn" (a smart enhanced AI!)
